Privacy Policy

  1. The following information is stored on our database:
    • The information you provide when joining.
    • The current status of your training and qualifications.
    • The contents of the flight reports you submit.
  2. All of this information can be viewed on the website, except for your e-mail address, which is available only to authorised members of staff, who will use the address only for contacting you regarding Aurigny Virtual.
  3. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act you are entitled to request a copy of information stored about you. There is no charge for this service.
  4. We will not disclose your details to any third party, except when required by law, or where the details are available on the website.
  5. If you leave Aurigny Virtual, your details will be removed from the database, but your flight reports will remain.

Terms and Conditions (last updated 2nd January 2004)

  1. Membership of Aurigny Virtual is free of charge.
  2. We reserve the right to terminate your membership for any violation of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. You may leave Aurigny Virtual at any time by emailing
  4. You must provide your real name and a valid email address when joining Aurigny Virtual.
  5. You must own a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 98, 2000, or 2002.
  6. You must be a member of VATSIM, the online flying network, and you must provide your VATSIM ID to us when you join.
  7. You must be polite, courteous and respectful at all times.
  8. Use of the Aurigny Virtual Newsgroup is subject to further conditions, which can be viewed on the Newsgroup section of the website.
  9. You must make at least 1 flight every 90 days. This restriction is in place to ensure we do not have inactive pilots on our lists. If you are likely to be unavailable for more than 90 days and unable to comply with this restriction, please inform the admin department () with an estimated date of return, and this requirement will be waived.
  10. When conducting flights, you must comply with the procedures contained in the Operations Manual, a copy of which will be provided to you when you join, or can be downloaded from the Flight Ops section of the website.
  11. You must not fly online with an AUR callsign, or the registration number of any of our aircraft, except when flying an Aurigny Virtual flight which has been assigned to you, and has been entered onto the assignment system.
  12. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be announced by NOTAM and will be updated on the website. You are responsible for ensuring you comply with the current terms and conditions.
Please note that in order to complete your application you will have to take a short written test, which will be sent to you upon receipt of this application. Before joining Aurigny Virtual you must be a member of VATSIM , and include your VATSIM ID on your Aurigny Virtual application.
